At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting in November and Trustees’ Meeting in December, the Trustees awarded 37 grants totalling £31,750. They included:
- £500 to Turn2us to help fight poverty in Devon and Cornwall
- £1,000 to Marie Curie towards the costs of the Nursing Service in Devon
- £500 to Plymouth Highbury Trust towards the purchase of a new minibus
- £250 to Sequal Trust towards a Grid Pad Eye speech aid for a disabled child from Mid Devon
- £5,000 to St Petrock’s Exeter towards the costs of the frontline drop-in service
- £5,000 to Alzheimer’s Society towards dementia support services in Devon and Cornwall
- £500 to Merry Go Round Toy Libraries towards general running costs
- £2,000 to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People towards the costs of training a puppy for a local beneficiary
- £250 to Countess Wear Village Hall to provide a programme of children’s activities
- £1,000 to Rowcroft Hospice towards the Hospice At Home service
- £250 to National Youth Recorder Orchestras of Great Britain towards the Exeter Recorder Day
- £500 to Exeter YMCA Community Projects to support local ex-offenders
