At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting in May, the Trustees awarded 50 grants totalling £32,350. They included:
- £1,000 to Guide Dogs to support guide dog owners in Devon
- £500 to Calibre Audio Library towards providing a free audio service to people in Devon
- £1,000 to SeeAbility towards the rehabilitation programme in Honiton and Exeter
- £1,000 to Citizens Advice Teignbridge towards a new project to reach those unable to travel to a centre
- £500 to West Hill Primary School towards the cost of repairing garden and forest school areas
- £500 to The Neuro Foundation towards the specialist NF Advisor covering the South West
- £500 to Crohn’s & Colitis UK towards services supporting people in the South West with the conditions
- £500 to Sense towards the Saturday Club for children with complex communication needs in Exeter
- £500 to Contact The Elderly towards the costs of tea party groups in Devon
- £1,000 to HeartSWell South West towards equipment for the South West Cardiothoracic Centre
- £500 to The Barn Owl Trust towards display materials and the cost of attending local shows
- £1,000 to Exeter Northcott Theatre towards the costs of the Education and Outreach Department
- £1,000 to Horizons Plymouth towards an evening and weekend sailing club for young people
- £500 to Cygnet Training Theatre towards the cost of a replacement lighting desk
- £1,000 to Barnstaple Municipal Charities towards the cost of renovating 4 almshouse flats
- £500 to Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre towards providing a low cost wellbeing clinic
- £1,000 to Blind Veterans UK towards community teams supporting 98 veterans living in Devon
