The Norman Family Charitable Trust is committed to backing local organisations that help animals & the environment, bring people together, tackle disadvantage, and improve quality of life.  From education and wellbeing initiatives to environmental conservation, community services and support programmes, their funding will help many deserving organisations continue their important work and reach even more people in need.

Following its October Grants Committee meeting, the Trust approved 48 grants totalling more than £134,000, supporting a wide range of projects that align with its three core funding priorities: Animals & Environment, Young People, and Adults.

The funding will help organisations deliver vital frontline services, create new opportunities for children and young people, protect and enhance the natural environment, support animal welfare, and provide practical assistance to adults facing challenges within their communities.

Chris Davis, Chair of the Norman Family Charitable Trust, said:

“We are continually inspired by the passion, dedication and impact of the charities and community groups that apply to the Trust. These grants represent far more than financial support; they are an investment in stronger communities, brighter futures for young people, and the protection of the animals and environments that enrich our lives. We are proud to play a small part in helping these organisations achieve their goals and create lasting positive change.”

The Trust is also keen to encourage more applications under its Animals & Environment funding programme. While strong projects continue to be supported across all three grant categories, the Trustees would particularly welcome hearing from charities and community groups delivering practical conservation, biodiversity, habitat restoration, environmental education, and animal welfare initiatives. The Trust remains committed to supporting organisations that help protect and enhance the natural world for future generations.

The October awards continue another strong year for the Trust’s grant-making programme, demonstrating the Norman family’s enduring commitment to supporting charitable causes and helping communities thrive across the region.
