At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting in February, the Trustees awarded 24 grants totalling £31,800.  They included:

 

  • £5,000 to North Devon Hospice towards refurbishment of patient bathrooms
  • £1,000 to Spinal Injuries Association towards the Peer Support Service in the South West
  • £1,000 to Amber Foundation towards Progressive Training Units for unemployed and homeless people
  • £2,000 to Canine Partners to support physically disabled clients in Devon and Cornwall
  • £550 to Welcome Centre CIC towards a projector for a film club and the costs of an artist and craft supplies
  • £2,000 to British Liver Trust towards the Love Your Liver roadshow in the South West
  • £750 to Reading List Foundation for 3 scholarships in East Devon secondary schools
  • £1,000 to Friends of South Dartmoor Association towards the purchase of various items for the school
  • £1,000 to Vision Care for Homeless People towards the general costs of the Exeter clinic
  • £1,000 to Fire Fighters Charity towards services for South West beneficiaries
  • £500 to South Dartmoor Riding for the Disabled towards the purchase of replacement safety helmets
  • £3,000 to Sir Francis Chichester Trust towards the cost of an outward bound course for young people in Devon
  • £2,000 to St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice towards the Family Support Therapist
  • £1,000 to Carers UK to develop the Carer Support services in the South West
