At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting in July, the Trustees awarded 40 grants totalling £32,950. They included:
- £1,500 to BASICS Devon towards the cost of a medical monitoring device for emergency responders
- £500 to Breast Cancer Now towards a research project
- £500 to Barnardo’s towards the Mandala Project’s annual Bereavement Group
- £1,000 to Designability towards the costs of the Wizzybug Loan Scheme in the South West
- £250 to Abbfest towards the general costs of the festival
- £200 to Exminster Community Primary School to help enable low income families afford a residential trip
- £500 to Fiveways School towards replacement play equipment for the playground
- £500 to Swamp Circus Trust towards new after school club equipment
- £2,000 to Devon in Sight towards the Community Support Service for people in East Devon with sight loss
- £1,000 to Personal Support Unit towards the Exeter service
- £1,000 to Disabled Sailing Association towards the purchase of a life raft
- £1,000 to Tiverton Market Centre towards the general costs of the youth work at the centre
- £500 to Fields in Trust to help protect parks and green spaces in vulnerable areas of East Devon
- £500 to Changing Tunes towards the music and mentoring programmes with prisoners at HMP Exeter
- £1,000 to Age UK Exeter towards the Dementia Carers Support service in Exeter
