At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting on 13th March, the Trustees awarded 51 grants totalling £42,750. They included:
- £500 to Flying Fish Artists towards the general costs of the charity
- £1,000 to Landworks to implement a mentoring programme
- £500 to Deafblind UK to provide support services to elderly members in Devon
- £500 to Music in Hospitals to provide music performances for people in healthcare settings
- £1,000 to 7th Exmouth Scouts towards a trip to Belgium
- £500 to Exmouth Art Group towards children’s art workshops during Exmouth Festival
- £500 to CHICKS towards the costs of providing a respite break for two disadvantaged children from Exeter
- £500 to Police Community Clubs of GB towards an anti-bullying programme for a school in Budleigh Salterton
- £500 to Cerebra to deliver a workshop to parents and carers of children with brain conditions in Devon
- £1,500 to Kentisbeare Village Hall towards replacement windows and doors etc
- £500 to Exeter Community Centre towards first aid and other safety training for staff and volunteers
- £1,500 to Designability to provide a Wizzybug powered wheelchair for a disabled young child in the South West
- £1,500 to Reading List Foundation to provide book grants to low income students from East Devon secondary schools
- £3,000 to Sir Francis Chichester Trust to support young people attending an outward bound life skills course
- £1,000 to Blind Veterans UK to provide specialist equipment to beneficiaries living in Devon
- £500 to Farms for City Children towards farm breaks for primary-aged children from Devon
- £250 to Sowton Village Hall towards a defibrillator which will be sited at the village hall
- £500 to Devon Ability Counts League towards equipment, referees fees and pitch fees
- £500 to Devon Rape & Sexual Abuse Line towards the general costs of providing the service
