At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting on 12th September, the Trustees awarded 53 grants totalling £33,000. They included:
- £1,000 to Exmouth Players for disabled access to dressing room
- £500 to Hope for Tomorrow towards the Mobile Chemotherapy Unit in Cornwall
- £500 to LUPUS UK towards equipment for people with lupus in Devon & Cornwall
- £1,000 to Bosence Farm Community towards the creation of a family room
- £500 to Ockment Centre towards the costs of developing a shed into a workshop
- £2,000 to Turntable Furniture towards the general costs of the charity
- £500 to Growing Together (Community Gardening) CIC towards a gardening and befriending project
- £500 to Devon Rape Crisis & Sexual Abuse Services towards a training weekend for staff and volunteers
- £500 to Teignbridge CVS towards ‘Introduction to Volunteering’ training for patients at Langdon Discovery Centre
- £500 to Hele’s Angels towards the running costs of the drop-in centre
- £250 to The Welcome Centre towards staff skills training and development
- £500 to Sid Valley Foodbank towards Christmas hampers for families and elderly people in need
- £250 to 722 (Chivenor) Squadron Air Training Corps towards the purchase of an electric kit car
- £500 to Marine Conservation Society towards the printing costs of 5,000 Seashore Safari Guides
- £500 to Arc (Axminster) towards the costs of relocating the charity’s shop to larger premises
- £500 to New Bridge Foundation towards the charity’s work in HMP Exeter
- £500 to Dream Makers towards the upkeep of the charity’s 3 mobile homes in Torbay
