At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting in September, the Trustees awarded 44 grants totalling £31,800. They included:
- £1,000 to North Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team for various equipment for the response vehicle
- £500 to Teenage Cancer Trust towards the Education and Awareness Programme in the South West
- £500 to Theatre Alibi towards community performances in Exeter
- £1,000 to TRIP Community Transport towards the cost of the voluntary car scheme in East Devon
- £3,000 to Lord Lieutenant’s Fund for Youth towards supporting talented young people in Cornwall
- £500 to Huntington’s Disease Association towards the cost of the Specialist Advisory Service for Devon
- £500 to Exeter Children’s Orchestra towards a workshop with musicians from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
- £1,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support towards Macmillan Grants which support individuals in Devon
- £500 to FoodCycle towards the project in Exeter providing meal using surplus food for people in need
- £3,000 to Rainbow Living towards the cost of purchasing a fourth Rainbow house for people with learning disabilities in Exeter
